CMLHS welcomes Pusat Intelek Pelajar Orang Asli (PIPOA)
GAMBANG – The fasting month did not stop the enthusiasm of 70 students from Pusat Intelek Pelajar Orang Asli (PIPOA) for an educational visit here in Gambang campus hosted by Centre for Modern Languages and Human Sciences (CMLHS) Universiti Malaysia Pahang.
The half-day programme was a collaboration between Centre of Modern Languages and Human Sciences (CMLHS) and Pusat Intelek Pelajar Orang Asli (PIPOA) which comprised visits to CMLHS language laboratories and other facilities in UMP including a 2-hour fun-filled slot (Chinese Painting & Chinese Calligraphy) with the Mandarin Language & Cultural Centre (MLCC). The programme was assisted by eight CMLHS language teachers and student facilitators.
All the tours and activities were prepared by the centre to give the young entourage an exposure of campus life and the facilities available besides getting the students encouraged to pursue their studies in UMP which is one of the objectives of the programme.
Che Shamsuri Dolah, head of Pusat Intelek Pelajar Orang Asli said he hopes that the programme conducted by CMLHS will inspire the participants to study well and further their education to the highest level.
