Synopsis

This course exposes students to Soft Skills which are non-job specific skills that can be used in different occupational contexts. This module aims at creating the sense of awareness and responsibilities among UMP students to nurture well-rounded personalities. This is developed though MOHE’s seven soft skills elements which are leadership, teamwork, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving, life-long learning, entrepreneurship, and ethics and moral skills. Students could develop these skills through course work, internships, voluntary jobs and life experiences, hence, allowing students to enhance their marketability nationally as well as internationally.

 

Objectives

By the end of semester, students should be able to:

  1. Identify the soft skills elements of UMP;
  2. Demonstrate the skills in dealing with people in various situation; and
  3. Apply soft skills elements through various activities and programs.
