A Visit to Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur
22nd February 2019 - UMP Japanese Club (JANPU) committee members with co-operation from Student Affairs and Alumni Department (SaffAD) and Centre for Modern Languages and Human Sciences (CMLHS) University Of Malaysia Pahang had conducted a visit to Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur (JFKL) on 21st February 2019. The main objective of this program is to expose the club members about culture, manners, and everything there is to know about Japanese language. Other than that, the visit was also to strengthen diplomacy relations between JANPU and JFKL.
On the day of the visit, 22 JANPU club members and club advisor, Mr. Mohd Iszuani Mohd Hassan departed for Kuala Lumpur from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Gambang campus at around 7.30 a.m. and arrived at MidValley shopping mall Kuala Lumpur around 11.30 a.m. for lunch and also prayer. Upon arrival at JFKL around 2 p.m., they were greeted warmly by JFKL staff who later took them to visit the gallery and also arts collection at JFKL. The knowledge gained from the visit is very helpful and has helped to spark some interests to all the club members to learn more about Japan and its culture.
It is hoped that students who had joined the visit are not only more informed on Japanese language and culture but also motivated to be more creative and innovative after learning all the positive values which had helped them to become a developed nation in such a short time after the war. The visit also has helped to strengthen the relationship between UMP JANPU club and JFKL and definitely more future co-operations can be planned and implemented.
